Air pollution knows no national borders and is all pervasive. It impacts us all and nobody is exempt from its effects. The theme of this year’s International Day of Clean Air for blue skies is “Invest in #CleanAirNow.” It emphasizes the urgent need to view clean air as an asset that is essential for driving socio-economic development. Unfortunately, right now clean air efforts are chronically underfunded, attracting only 1 per cent of international development finance.
